Oil Prices Climb Amid Ongoing Supply Concerns in Middle East
Oil prices inched up on Friday in Asian trading due to ongoing concerns over crude supplies amidst Middle East tensions.
The Brent crude futures increased by nine cents, or 0.1 percent, reaching $87.16 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose four cents to $81.29 a barrel.
This slight gain comes after both benchmarks dropped over 2 percent in the previous session, giving up some of their gains from a six-session rally for Brent and a five-session surge for WTI.
