Oil Prices Climb on Middle East Supply Disruptions

Oil prices rose on Wednesday after attacks on two ships reinforced worries about disruptions to Middle East supplies.

The Brent futures price climbed $0.90, or 1%, to $89.81 a barrel by 0757 GMT, set for their sixth day of gains.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed $0.88, or 1.1%, to $84.08, up for a fifth day.

The attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait on Tuesday added to market concerns about supply disruptions.
