Oil prices declined for the second day in a row on Tuesday, with Brent crude falling 3.8% to $87.14. This decline helped ease worries about high inflation and tempered the bond market.

The S&P 500 rose 0.2%, edging closer to its all-time high set earlier this month, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 64 points, or 0.1%. The Nasdaq composite increased by 0.4%.

Nvidia and other AI-related stocks led the way on Wall Street, with Nvidia rising 1.9% after its previous drop of 2.9% weighed heavily on the S&P 500.
