Oil Prices Ease Amid Weaker Demand Outlook
Oil prices have eased after gains in previous sessions, as concerns over weaker global demand outweighed supply fears tied to the Middle East.
The Brent futures price slipped by $0.42 or 0.47% to $88.56 a barrel at 0405 GMT on Thursday.
This comes as expectations of lower oil demand this year have taken center stage, despite no progress in talks to revive an interim deal agreed upon in June and define a timeframe for its implementation.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude price fell by $0.55 or 0.66% to $82.72 after advancing over the past five sessions.
