Oil Prices Fall as Investors Assess Fed Outlook Amid Iran Deal Uncertainty
Oil prices fell on Friday, August 28, snapping a two-week winning streak. Despite rising in the previous session following reports that US President Donald Trump is not interested in revisiting Iran deal terms, Brent crude futures dropped 25 cents or 0.3% to $89.45 a barrel.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures also fell, down 22 cents or 0.3% to $83.31. This marks the end of the week with both benchmarks lower: Brent is down 5.3%, and WTI has fallen by 4.3%.
