Oil Prices Fall as US-Iran Hostilities Pause
Oil prices continued their decline on Tuesday as the temporary pause in hostilities between the United States and Iran eased immediate concerns about disruptions to global energy supplies.
Brent crude fell 2.1% to $86.53 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped 1.7% to $82.19 per barrel.
The decline in oil prices was seen as a positive factor for the market, supporting major indices such as the Dow and S&P 500. However, tech stocks continued to struggle, with semiconductor companies under pressure ahead of company earnings.
