Oil Prices Fall on Improved Global Supply Conditions
The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has reported that oil prices have fallen due to improved global supply conditions. According to the CBK's latest weekly bulletin, Murban crude oil dropped to $81.78 a barrel on August 27, down from $84.76 on August 20.
This decline is significant for Kenya as international oil prices are an important factor in the country's economy, which imports petroleum products.
While this may bring some relief to Kenyan households, it's essential to note that lower crude prices do not directly translate to cheaper fuel costs. The CBK bulletin does not forecast a corresponding decrease in pump prices in Kenya.
