Oil Prices Hit Inflection Point, Expect Higher Costs Ahead
Oil prices are at an 'inflection point' and are likely to rise higher according to Amrita Sen, a leading energy analyst. In her view, oil prices have reached a turning point and will continue to increase due to strong demand and limited supply. Sen attributes the price surge to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the resulting sanctions on Russian oil exports.
Sen points out that despite a slight dip in prices last year, global oil supplies remain tight and demand continues to grow. As a result, she expects oil prices to rise further in the coming months, although the exact extent of this increase is uncertain.
Sen's comments come as Brent crude oil prices hover around $120 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude trades at around $115 per barrel. The analyst warns that any significant disruption to global oil supplies could send prices even higher.
