Wall Street stocks are experiencing a mixed day, with the S&P 500 falling 0.2% after two consecutive weekly losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 155 points, or 0.3%, while the Nasdaq composite declined 0.4%. The market is being affected by the reduced tensions between the U.S. and Iran, which had previously escalated oil prices.

The price of Brent crude, the international standard, dropped 6.6% to $85.63 a barrel for October delivery, reversing its course from last week's surge above $100 a barrel. The war in the Middle East has had significant economic impacts, including increased gasoline costs and higher shipping expenses.

Technology companies are also playing a key role in shaping market trends, with Nvidia falling 5.1% and Micron Technology declining 4%, while Microsoft rose 3% and Apple gained 0.8%. The mixed performance of these major companies is having a significant influence on the overall market direction.

Asia's markets saw gains in Europe after closing higher in Asia, with Chinese memory chipmaker CXMT soaring in its debut in Shanghai, becoming China's most valuable listed company with an estimated market capitalization of 3.3 trillion yuan (nearly $490 billion).
