Oil Prices Plummet Amid US-Iran Strike Uncertainty
Oil prices have retreated as investors weigh the uncertainty of renewed military strikes between the US and Iran. The attacks, which were the most substantial exchange of fire since July, risk disrupting supplies from the Middle East.
The price of Brent crude futures fell by $0.43 (0.45%) to $95.20 a barrel at 0029 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropped by $0.24 (0.26%) to $90.77 per barrel.
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the renewed US campaign against Iran would not continue 'for too long' and that US forces had targeted Iran's radar and missile systems.
