Oil Prices Plummet as Precious Metals and Bitcoin Gain Ground
Global commodity markets experienced mixed trading on Friday, with oil prices declining while precious metals and Bitcoin posting gains.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil fell 2.40% to $89.98 per barrel, reflecting weaker market sentiment.
Brent crude declined by $2.77 to $97.90 per barrel, and the price of UAE Murban crude dropped 9.66% to $96.82 per barrel.
However, the precious metals market saw gains, with gold increasing by $13.40 to $4,060 per ounce and silver advancing by 64 cents to $58.69 per ounce.
The cryptocurrency market also recorded modest gains, with Bitcoin rising by $240 to $64,984.
