Oil Prices Plummet on August 25 as Crude Falls $2.65

The oil market took a hit on August 25, 2026, with crude oil prices dropping by $2.65 to reach 82.36 per barrel.

Natural gas prices also fell, down by $0.012 to 2.770 per unit, while gasoline prices decreased by $0.0179 to 3.2529 per gallon.

The Plains WTI Posting price for crude oil was also affected, dropping by $2.65 to reach 78.84 per barrel.

The spreads between different contracts showed a positive trend, with the October/November spread increasing by 1.48 and the November/December spread rising by 1.73.
