US stocks have stabilized as oil prices retreated on optimism surrounding potential peace talks between the US, Pakistan, and Iran. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.46% to 51,947.25, while the S&P 500 edged up 0.05% to 7,411.98.

However, the Nasdaq Composite fell by 0.64% to 24,975.82. The decline in oil prices is linked to perceptions that peace talks could alleviate concerns about energy supply constraints, thereby reducing oil prices and supporting broader market stability.

Brent crude oil saw a significant decrease of 3.9%, settling at approximately $96.78 per barrel after briefly surpassing $100 in the previous session.
