Oil Prices Recover as US-Iran Tensions Continue to Weigh on Markets
Oil prices rebounded on Tuesday after a sharp sell-off in the previous session, as investors continued to monitor the impact of US-Iran tensions on global crude supplies.
The Brent crude price rose 1.6% to over $85 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 1.16% to over $81 per barrel.
The rebound came after US President Donald Trump said that further military action against Iran would be delayed as diplomatic channels remained open.
However, uncertainty persisted after Iran rejected Trump's comments, with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stating that Tehran was not engaged in negotiations with Washington.
