Oil Prices Rise Again, Brent Futures Top $89 as WTI Surges
Oil prices continued their upward trend on Wednesday, with Brent futures and US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude both posting gains.
Brent futures rose by 72 cents, or 0.81 percent, to $89.63 a barrel by 0053 GMT, while WTI crude climbed 71 cents, or 0.85 percent, to $83.91.
The benchmark contracts settled more than $1 higher on Tuesday, marking their highest closes since July 31st and extending gains after jumping about 5 percent on Monday.
