Oil Prices Rise as US-Iran Tensions Escalate
Oil prices rose on Thursday due to concerns about disruption to Middle East supplies after U.S. strikes on Iran and renewed Israeli threats against Tehran.
The attacks, which were the most substantial exchange of fire between the United States and Iran since July, resulted in at least 18 deaths and 108 injuries, according to Iran's health minister.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel would 'cripple' Iran's military and civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities, if Tehran launched attacks against it.
