Oil Prices See Small Increases Amid Steady Trading Sessions
Oil prices have seen a slight increase in recent trading sessions. According to 'Armenpress', the WTI Crude Oil (Light Sweet) price at the NYMEХ Stock Exchange has risen by 0.65% to $87.06 per barrel. This is a notable increase, but it's worth noting that Brent Crude Oil prices have not seen as significant an upward trend, with only a 0.05% rise to $93.60 per barrel on the London’s IСE Stock Exchange.
The NYMEХ and ICE are two major global exchanges for oil futures trading, founded in 1882 and 1982 respectively. The NYMEХ is particularly notable as it ranks first in oil futures trade, with its two divisions handling different types of commodities. This includes the NYMEX Division, which handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions.
The use of barrels as a unit of measurement is also worth mentioning, with one barrel equaling 159.98 liters. This gives an idea of the scale involved in oil trading and the importance of precision in these markets.
