Oil Prices Slide Amid US-Iran Tensions
Oil prices fell on Friday and are poised to end the week lower despite simmering tensions between the US and Iran.
Brent crude futures were down $0.25, or 0.3 per cent, to $89.45 a barrel by 0035 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell $0.22, also 0.3 per cent, to $83.31.
The decline comes as the Trump administration has reportedly shown no interest in reviving the June memorandum of understanding with Iran, complicating diplomatic efforts to restart talks.
