Oil Prices Soar Amid Renewed Middle East Tensions
Oil prices rose on Tuesday due to renewed tensions in the Middle East and concerns about supply disruptions from key crude-producing regions.
Brent crude futures increased by 56 cents, or 0.6%, to $91.05 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was up 83 cents, or 1%, to $86.59.
The price surge follows a previous session in which Brent closed up 2.7% and WTI settled up 2.8%, reaching their highest points since August 25 and August 21, respectively.
