Oil Prices Soar as US-Iran Tensions Escalate

Oil prices surged at the start of the week, with WTI oil rising to $91.94 per barrel and Brent oil reaching $96.58 per barrel.

This increase is attributed to ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, which has raised concerns about global energy supplies, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz.

Citi has revised its forecast for Brent oil prices in Q3/2026, expecting them to reach $86 per barrel, up from its previous estimate of $80 per barrel.

In Vietnam, retail gasoline and oil prices have also increased, with E10 gasoline up by 500 VND/liter and diesel oil up by 750 VND/liter.
