Oil prices surged on Friday as uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz continued to dominate energy markets. Brent crude rebounded significantly, climbing from around $79.08 a barrel to approximately $83.55, representing a rise of $4.47 or about 5.7% from its morning level.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also rose sharply, increasing from around $74.69 to $78.18 and gaining $3.49 or approximately 4.7%.

The sharp rebound came as traders reassessed the potential impact of developments around the Strait of Hormuz and the possibility of an agreement between Iran and Oman.

Markets are closely watching whether negotiations involving Iran and Oman could help restore safe commercial passage through the waterway, which remains central to the latest oil market volatility due to its importance for global energy shipments.
