Oil Prices Soar Over 6% Amid Escalating U.S.-Iran Tensions
Global oil prices surged over 6% this week due to escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran, following President Donald Trump's threat of economic sanctions on Iran's trading partners.
CPC Corporation Taiwan announced that it will freeze fuel prices for next week, citing international oil price fluctuations caused by the deadlock in U.S.-Iran negotiations.
The company stated that it has absorbed approximately NT$17.27 billion ($542.7 million) cumulatively through various special stabilization measures implemented since February 28 this year.
