Oil Prices Steady Amid US-Iran War Fears, Gold Hits Two-Month High
Commodity markets were in focus on Thursday as investors assessed the US-Iran war outlook and risks to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Oil prices remained largely steady, with Brent crude futures for October delivery rising 0.3% to $91.87 a barrel, while September WTI slipped 0.02% to $85.81.
The more active October WTI contract gained 0.2% to $84.53, marking the fourth straight day of gains for both Brent and WTI, which settled at their highest levels since July 24 in the previous session.
