Oil Prices Steady as US-Iran War Disruptions Continue
Oil prices remained steady on Friday but are still on track for a second weekly rise due to ongoing supply disruptions in the Middle East caused by the stalemated US-Iran war.
The Brent crude futures rose 4 cents to $93.82 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures slipped 6 cents to $86.78 a barrel.
Gold prices held steady on Friday but were poised for their third consecutive weekly gain, buoyed by a weaker dollar and efforts from the US Treasury Department to manage bond market yields.
