Oil Prices Surge Past $100 per Barrel Amid Escalating Iran-US Tensions
The global price of oil hit $100 per barrel on Wednesday for the first time since July, as tensions between Iran and the US continued to rise.
The Brent crude oil prices, a benchmark for global trading, rose by about 2.7% and traded at around $100.57 a barrel for contracts with November deliveries.
US oil prices also climbed, up by about 2%, reaching approximately $95 per barrel.
