Oil Prices Swerve Amid Ongoing US-Iran Tensions
Oil prices were volatile on Thursday morning, swinging between gains and losses despite continued US strikes on Iran. The September Brent crude oil futures on the ICE Futures stock exchange in London traded at $90.75 a barrel, up $0.01 (0.01%) from their previous close.
The price had risen $6.65 (7.9%) to $90.74 a barrel on Wednesday.
However, the September WTI crude oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell $0.67 (0.79%) to $84.79 a barrel in online trading. This is down from their previous close and their peak of $84.47 per barrel reached on Wednesday after a small increase of $0.01 (0.01%).
