Oil Production Surges to 1.5m Barrels Per Day under Troops' Commitment
A former General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nigerian Army's 6 Division has attributed the increase in oil production to the commitment of troops under his command.
Maj-Gen. Emmanuel Emekah, who handed over the command to Maj-Gen. Everest Okoro at the weekend, said oil production increased to 1.5 million barrels per day during his tenure.
This is up from approximately 1.3 million barrels per day when he assumed office on January 24th, 2025.
The outgoing GOC commended officers and soldiers of the Division for their discipline, loyalty, and cooperation, which he said contributed significantly to the achievements recorded during his tenure.
