Nasdaq futures traded lower in early hours on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, while oil prices steadied near $92. The Nasdaq-100 futures contract dropped by 0.28% from 03:00 ET until just before its final trade at 04:00 ET.

Brent crude rose 1.46% to settle at $91.81, and WTI increased 1.48% to $87.03. The higher oil prices may delay relief for consumers and limit the Federal Reserve's room to loosen policy, according to analysts.

The Energy Select Sector SPDR led all sectors with a gain of 2.04%, while communication services saw the largest decline at -1.35%. Oil producers such as Exxon Mobil and Chevron saw their shares advance by 2.7% and 2.1%, respectively.
