Okanagan Gas Prices Skyrocket Amid Declining Oil Prices
Gas prices in Kamloops and the Okanagan region have skyrocketed to over $1.96 per liter, with some stations seeing increases of up to $0.30 in a matter of hours.
The price hike has been attributed to declining oil prices, which are currently at $78.72 USD per barrel. This comes as Brent crude oil was around $114 USD per barrel when gas first hit the $2 mark in May.
Despite the surge in gas prices, several stations in Penticton have seen slightly lower prices, ranging from $1.93 to $1.91 per liter.
