Oklahoma Feed Prices Adjust Slightly Amidst New Crop Corn Uncertainty
Feed and commodity prices in Oklahoma saw slight adjustments according to the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service's recent report. In the distributor bulk category, 20% cattle cubes were quoted at an average of $335.29, down $1.71 from the previous report.
In contrast, a second listing for 14% creep pellets averaged $300.38, up $4.67. Corn prices remained unchanged at $10.31 per ton in both categories.
The report noted that new crop corn is now over $5.00 per bushel due to drought in the Western Cornbelt and flooding in the Eastern Cornbelt leaving this fall's corn yields uncertain.
