Oman Evacuates Crew Members from Attacked Saudi Tanker
Oman's Maritime Security Centre confirmed that it had evacuated 16 crew members from the Saudi-owned tanker Sidr, which was attacked by Iran last week.
The Sidr was one of two supertankers carrying Saudi oil that were hit while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Monday. The incident resulted in the deaths of two Filipino seafarers, according to a statement from Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The 25-member crew was on board when the attack occurred, and the status of seven remaining crew members is still unclear.
