Oman Seeks LNG Route Diversification Amid Hormuz Tensions

Oman's energy minister has called for alternative routes to be developed for liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments to bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking at a major gathering of gas producers and traders in Bangkok, Salim Al-Aufi said that diversifying options is crucial to get resources out of the area. He mentioned exploring routes through Oman or Yemen as potential alternatives. The current LNG export plant operated by Oman does not depend on the Hormuz Strait.
