Oman Sees 11.3% Oil Production Surge in First Half of 2026
Oman's oil production has seen a significant increase in the first seven months of 2026, rising by 11.3% to nearly 234mn barrels compared to the same period last year.
The National Centre for Statistics and Information reported that the average daily oil production increased from 991,100 barrels per day (bpd) in January-July 2025 to over 1.1mn bpd this year, with May witnessing the highest monthly average production at 1.172mn bpd.
The increase in oil prices also contributed to a surge in the value of Oman's hydrocarbon exports, which rose by 16.5% to RO8.627bn during the first half of 2026, driven largely by higher oil and gas prices.
