ONGC Teams Up with Shell Energy for Upstream Oil and Gas Opportunities

State-owned ONGC has signed an MoU with Shell Energy India Pvt Ltd to explore collaboration opportunities in India's energy sector.

The collaboration will focus on upstream oil and gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) opportunities, with a particular emphasis on deepwater and ultra-deepwater offshore blocks offered under the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP) Rounds X and XI.

The companies will also explore farm-in/farm-out opportunities in ONGC's existing OALP blocks and LNG sourcing to support India's transition towards a stronger gas-based economy.
