Ontario Gas Prices Tipped to Fall as Oil Market Eases
Ontario drivers can expect a reprieve at the pumps on Wednesday as gasoline and diesel prices are expected to dip. According to Dan McTeague, head of Canadians for Affordable Energy, Ontario's gas prices will fall by two cents per litre, while diesel prices will drop by 10 cents.
The price decrease comes as oil prices eased globally after US President Donald Trump announced economic sanctions against Iran and shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has picked up. McTeague anticipates that gasoline prices in the Greater Toronto Area will reach 174.9 cents per litre on Wednesday morning.
