OPEC+ Agrees to Raise Oil Production by 188K Barrels per Day

The participating countries include Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman. They are key players that greatly influence global crude oil supply. The decision marks a shift from the voluntary production cuts announced in April 2023.

This production increase is seen as a turning point in market stabilization policy direction. OPEC+ implemented two rounds of crude oil production cut measures in April and November 2023 to address global oil price volatility.
