OPEC+ Boosts Oil Production Targets Amid Market Stability Efforts
The OPEC+ alliance has decided to raise oil production targets by 188,000 barrels per day in September 2026. This adjustment is part of additional voluntary commitments announced in April 2023.
The increase aims to ensure stability in the global oil market and will allow participating countries to accelerate the process of compensating for their commitments. The OPEC+ alliance emphasized the importance of adhering to the Declaration of Cooperation, as well as monitoring additional voluntary adjustments to production.
A similar increase was already planned for August 2026. The next ministerial meeting of OPEC+ countries is scheduled for September 6, where further decisions regarding production balancing and stabilization of the oil market are expected to be made.
