OPEC Crude Oil Production Surpasses 31 Million Barrels Per Day in 2025
OPEC's crude oil production has been steadily increasing over the years, according to data from Statista. In 2012, OPEC produced 30.7 million barrels per day (mb/d) of crude oil, which rose to 31.4 mb/d in 2025.
The top producers among OPEC countries were Saudi Arabia with an average annual production of 9.6 mb/d, Iraq with 4.8 mb/d, and the United Arab Emirates with 3.2 mb/d. These three countries together accounted for more than half of OPEC's total production in 2025.
Iran's production decreased by 30% from 2012 to 2025, while Libya's production increased by 45% during the same period.
