OPEC+ Decides to Maintain September Production Hike Amid Geopolitical Uncertainties

OPEC+ has decided to continue increasing crude oil production by 188,000 barrels per day in September, following a meeting of seven core OPEC+ countries.

This move is part of the alliance's efforts to gradually exit production cuts initiated in April 2026 and maintain market stability amid geopolitical uncertainties.

The decision comes as the global crude oil demand slowly recovers from the first half of the year, with OECD onshore inventories decreasing consecutively since May.
