OPEC+ Maintains Oil Output Levels for October

OPEC+ has decided to pause oil production increases and maintain October's output levels at September's target. In a virtual meeting, seven member countries agreed on this decision, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman.

On August 3, OPEC had announced an increase in the production quota by 188,000 barrels per day for September. However, after reviewing global oil market conditions, the participating countries decided to maintain the current production levels for October as well.

The seven countries will continue to hold monthly meetings to review market conditions and ensure compliance with their commitments under the Declaration of Cooperation.
