OPEC+ Maintains Oil Output Quotas Amid Middle East Conflict

OPEC+ members decided to maintain their oil output quotas for October despite ongoing military conflicts in the region.

The decision affects seven key producing nations, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman.

Market analyst Jorge Leon of Rystad Energy noted that OPEC+'s power over the physical crude supply is limited due to war-related disruptions.

OPEC+ had previously agreed to a production increase for September as part of its rollback of a 1.65 million-barrel-per-day supply cut established in 2023, but has not been able to meet its target capacity.
