OPEC Oil Output Jumps 1.17M BPD in July Amid Conflict Lifting

OPEC's oil production saw a significant increase in July 2026, rising by around 1.17 million barrels per day (bpd) month-on-month to 19.85 million bpd.

The group's output recovery comes after disruptions caused by the Middle East war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz were mitigated.

OPEC production had reached its lowest monthly level since at least 2000 in May, but has been steadily recovering since then.

The increase followed an agreement by seven OPEC+ members to raise their July production caps, although the full implementation was hindered by the ongoing conflict.
