OPEC Slashes 2026 Oil Demand Forecast for Fourth Straight Month
OPEC has lowered its forecast for global oil demand growth in 2026 to 580,000 barrels per day. This is the fourth consecutive downward revision from the organization.
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries expects a smaller impact on consumption due to the Iran war compared to other forecasters like the International Energy Agency (IEA).
OPEC has also raised its forecast for 2027 oil demand growth, according to its monthly report published on its website.
