Oman-based commodities trader OQT has appointed Emmanuel Brasseur as its head of LNG operations from Dubai, aiming to expand its global presence in liquefied natural gas markets.

Brasseur brings over two decades of experience in LNG trading, origination, and portfolio management, covering the Atlantic, Middle East, and Asian regions. He joins OQT from Castleton Commodities International, where he was an Executive Director, Global LNG Physical.

The hire supports OQT's strategy to grow its LNG portfolio and strengthen origination capabilities in key markets. As new liquefaction capacity enters service by 2030, OQT identifies opportunities throughout the LNG value chain, including supply origination, freight optimisation, and long-term offtake arrangements in Asia, Europe, and emerging import markets.
