Australia's Origin Energy reported its statutory profit rose to A$1.57 billion for the year ending June 2026, up from A$1.48 billion in the previous year.

However, the company's underlying earnings declined due to lower oil prices and weaker LNG trading, which weighed on its gas business.

The Integrated Gas division saw a significant decline in underlying EBITDA, falling to A$1.62 billion from A$2.20 billion, mainly due to lower oil-linked earnings from Australia Pacific LNG and reduced LNG trading gains.

Despite this, Origin received A$911 million in fully franked dividends from the LNG venture, up from A$797 million a year earlier.
