Orlen Seeks Alternative Crude Supplies Amid Disrupted Saudi Imports

Polish oil firm Orlen is scrambling to find alternative crude supplies after Saudi Arabian imports were disrupted by escalating Middle East conflicts. The company has turned to spot tenders for grades such as Grane and Johan Sverdrup from the North Sea, as well as U.S. WTI Midland and Kazakh CPC Blend.

In a bid to secure new oil shipments, Orlen purchased several cargoes in recent days. While details of these transactions are scarce, industry sources suggest that the company is prioritizing its refining assets' uninterrupted operation.

Orlen's spokesperson emphasized the company's active management of its supply portfolio, stating that adjusting purchase volumes is a standard part of their operations, driven by changing market conditions and current production needs.
