OSOCO Hits Production Milestone with 1.7 mmboe Output
OSOCO, an Egyptian oil company, has achieved significant production milestones in FY 2025/26. The company's output reached 1.7 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe), averaging 7,100 boe per day. This increase is notable as it successfully offset the natural decline of mature wells.
The Ras El Ush field, located in Hurghada in the southern Gulf of Suez, has been a key contributor to OSOCO's production growth. The company drilled the Ras El Ush-5 exploration well and completed the Ras El Ush-15 development well, both of which are now online.
OSOCO has also made progress in asset management and operational efficiency, resulting in stabilized production and reduced well maintenance costs by approximately $7.9 million. The company recorded 2.5 million safe man-hours without lost-time incidents and advanced plans to upgrade stations and offshore berths.
