Pacific Northwest Grain Exports Show Mixed Results Amid Global Shift
The Pacific Northwest grain export inspection report for the week ending September 10, 2026, shows a mixed picture across wheat classes and other grains.
Total soft white wheat inspections reached 121,968 metric tons for the week, down from 126,518 metric tons a week earlier but below the 228,821 metric tons recorded a year ago.
Hard red winter wheat inspections totaled 82,919 metric tons, up from 51,820 metric tons the previous week and from 46,390 metric tons a year earlier. Hard red spring wheat came in at 89,489 metric tons, higher than the 40,238 metric tons reported a week ago but slightly below the 93,436 metric tons recorded in the same week last year.
Japan was the largest destination for several classes, receiving 33,340 metric tons of soft white wheat, 59,893 metric tons of hard red winter wheat, 25,555 metric tons of hard red spring wheat, and 149,058 metric tons of yellow corn. South Korea took 274,496 metric tons of yellow corn, the largest single volume in the report.
