Pakistan Gold Market Hits Record High as International Rates Surpass $4,600
The gold market in Pakistan has seen significant gains on Saturday, with international spot rates closing at a record $4,602.66 per ounce.
Local jewelers are trading at premium prices across major hubs in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, reflecting the strong momentum from yesterday's price surge.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat gold has jumped by Rs 5,200 per tola to hit Rs 477,136, while 24-karat silver increased by Rs 210 to reach Rs 7,379 per tola.
Market analysts attribute the current record levels to international market sentiment surrounding US dollar weakness and ongoing economic policy shifts overseas.
