The gold price in Pakistan fell for the second day in a row on Saturday, August 15, according to the latest update from Priceit.pk. The 24-karat gold rate dropped by Rs. 500 per tola to settle at Rs. 459,936, while the 10-gram gold rate decreased by Rs. 429 to trade at Rs. 394,320.

This downward trend in local gold prices follows the global market's pullback, with international spot gold falling by $5 to $4,375 per ounce. Market analysts attribute this localized price cooling directly to ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and global macroeconomic developments.

In contrast to the decline of yellow metal prices, domestic silver saw a slight uptick today. Pure 24K silver increased by Rs. 13 per tola to reach Rs. 6,949, with the 10-gram silver price advancing by Rs. 11 to trade at Rs. 5,957.
